For customers
How does QikTruck work?
Enter your pickup and drop-off to get an instant free quote. Accept the quote, then pay now or pay later. QikTruck notifies a nearby driver, who calls to confirm details, collects your goods, and delivers them. You can track the trip from the app, SMS, or email.
Your quote is the price you pay. Driver and fuel are included. Local bakkie trips typically start from about R350. The exact amount depends on distance, vehicle size, helpers, and how soon you need the vehicle.
You can book a bakkie, 1-ton, 1.5-ton, 4-ton, or 8-ton truck, open or closed, with a driver. Choose the size that fits your load. You can add helpers at checkout if you need extra hands for loading and offloading.
Pay by card or EFT. You can pay when you accept the quote, when the job starts, or when it ends. Business clients can apply for a 30-day credit account. Use only the payment details on your QikTruck quote or invoice.
QikTruck operates in all nine provinces of South Africa, including Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, and Northern Cape.
Yes. Drivers and vehicle owners go through vehicle inspection, fraud checks, and criminal checks before they are approved. You can also rate the driver after delivery.
You can add Goods in Transit cover when you book. Declare the value of your goods so cover can apply from collection through delivery. QikTruck is not the insurer. Cover is underwritten by licensed insurers.
Quotes are free to decline. After you confirm a booking, cancelling 24 hours or more before pickup has no fee. Cancelling 4 to 24 hours before pickup can cost up to 15%. Under 4 hours can cost up to 33%. If the driver is already dispatched or has arrived, the fee can be up to 50%.
Furniture, equipment, construction materials, household goods, and similar loads that fit the booked vehicle. Hazardous goods, fuel, and flammable liquids need pre-approval and are not part of a standard bakkie or truck hire.
Yes. Register your vehicle and we will review your profile. Partners keep 75% to 87% of every trip. QikTruck's service fee is 13% to 25% including VAT, depending on vehicle size and contract.
Drivers can choose payouts weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly. There is no payout limit. Payments can take 3 business days to reflect, depending on your bank.
